General Description of duties:
- Retail Sales Associates sell all product categories including rugs, accent furniture, pillows, art, as well as merchandising solutions
- Boost company sales growth and profitability through creative selling skills, teamwork, excellent customer service, all while delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Review customer accounts on a regular basis to identify additional sales opportunities
- Develop new business through referrals, networking, and prospecting
- Self motivate in order to stay accountable to individual sales and service goals, as set by the store management team
- Keep customers updated regularly on orders or any status changes
- Expand knowledge of all products carried in stores, current advertising, and marketing initiatives
- Assist the sales manager with maintaining furniture displays and maintaining the aesthetic of the showroom
- Maintain flexibility with schedule to meet the needs of the sales team
- Participate in store meetings and training sessions
- Resolve any customer issues and relay the concerns as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Work independently or as part of a collaborative sales team
- Proven ability to develop successful customer relationships and close sales
- Ability to lead a sales team to meet or exceed sales targets
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
- At least one year of experience in a retail sales or customer service environment
- Ability to overcome objections
- Proficient with MS Office and using a computer for sales input
